Every gîte has a fully-equipped kitchen and a barbeque for alfresco dining but why not take advantage of restaurants in the area? Availles-Limouzine has several places to eat, each quite different, but all fantastic!
For those who enjoy fine dining, La Châtellenie is a great boutique hotel in the centre of the village. They offer “haute cuisine” food created by head chef Thomas. The food is a subtle blend of seasonal and local produce and their menu is refreshed weekly. La Châtellenie should definitley be on your “visit list” if you love your food!
Chez Cécile’s is also in the centre of town and a must-visit during your stay at VéloGîtes; a burger / steak / pizza lover’s delight. Cécile is married to the town butcher so you can be assured that the meat is of the best quality. The restaurant has a Google rating of 4.5 stars (189 reviews) and is a firm favourite with our family!
Café Laitgendaire can be found in the centre of Availles-Limouzine. It’s run by Kevin & Fiona and has a wild west theme. They are open everyday, except Tuesday, from 10am – 7pm during the week and 10am – 10pm Friday & Saturday. The Café serves a range of snacks, including burgers and daily specials and also offers coffee, tea, sodas, beers and wines.
These restaurants are within easy walking distance of VéloGîtes.
Just ten minutes from our door, in Pressac, you will find Casa del Tapas which also incorporates “Scoops” ice cream. A meal of fabulous Spanish tapas bursting with flavour can be finsihed off with gelato ice-cream sundaes, crêpes and waffles; pure bliss! you can see their Facebook page and menu here.
